Definition of Impedance Protected Motor Although it is not included in JIS standards, it is summarized from the US UL standard (UL73) as "impedance protected motor." When a motor is in a constrained state for 15 days, the following conditions must be met: ◎ It must not exceed 165°C (when the ambient temperature is 24°C) during the first 72 hours. ◎ The winding must not break or short-circuit to the frame. ◎ Insulation must not deteriorate excessively. The conditions for preventing damage are quite strict. Our company adopts motors that satisfy these stringent conditions as standard motors, ensuring they can be used as is even if there are changes in transport conditions.
